The Offer of Jesus:
LIFE IN ALL ITS FULLNESS

The offer of Jesus – LIFE IN ALL ITS FULLNESS – Wow now that’s a great headline – this was the title of the course that ran at Holy Trinity for five weeks at the beginning of May. A few of us from the churches in Barnes answered the call to be guinea pigs (minus the furry coats and whiskers – well some of us anyway)! to attend and give feedback and views to Revds. Jean Boulton-Reynolds, Graham Pulham and Roger Hutchings, who had devised the course.

The course gave an excellent opportunity for church and non-churchgoers to have the time and space to discuss and share their thoughts and views on the Christian faith.

The whole evening was very enjoyable and relaxed, starting with a supper, followed by a short talk and group discussion and ending with a time of quiet and meditation. I particularly valued being able to share with friends from the other churches during the discussion times, their experiences of their journey of faith and was very encouraged by someone who joined us over the weeks who had seen the poster and said it had helped them have a better understanding of Christianity. I feel excited at the prospect that this course could be used to help others take a first step on that journey and find the words of Jesus in John’s Gospel “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full” become a reality in their lives, as it has for me and countless others.
