If you want to get involved or help in anyway, please contact: For children's involvement: Short backgroundUnder Tree Schools (Charity no 1117679) supports education in Southern Sudan. After 4 decades of war, Southern Sudan suffers from severe loss of education and mass illiteracy. UTS has offered education during the war, literally under trees in order to be able to be packed into bags and re-established elsewhere. As peace has now come, a permanent school is being built. The project is currently raising funds to complete the school in Malek. Long-term plans include adult education as well as vocational, health and agricultural training. Joseph (who is Sudanese) and Karin Ayok-Loewenberg have worked for over 17 years amongst Sudanese refugees in East Africa, Egypt and London. They have established this project in 2000. They now live with their daughters in Barnes where Joseph is a hon. clergy of the three Anglicans Churches, the Barnes Team ministry. To find out more, please click HERE. |
